Fact Sheet: 2019 Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) Payment Adjustments based on 2017 MIPS Scores

The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA) repealed the Medicare sustainable growth rate formula, strengthens Medicare access by improving payments to physicians and other clinicians, and rewards value and outcomes by establishing the Quality Payment Program. Under the Quality Payment Program, eligible clinicians can participate in one of two tracks.
