Claims Processing Instructions for the Gene Therapy Drug, Encelto™, Used in Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASCs) and the Hospital Outpatient Departments (HOPDs)
Encelto™ is billable and payable, when reasonable and necessary, by hospital outpatient departments under the Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) and by Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASCs) under normal billing rules.
Practitioners must split charges to multiple claims and append modifiers LU (fractionated payment) and 76 (repeat service or payment by the same physician or other qualified healthcare professional) to their claims to facilitate proper payment. Submitting Records Relating to Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) Letters
We are seeing an increase in documentation for RAC requests. If you are sending anything to WPS relating to an RAC finding, please include the RAC letter.
