CY 2024 QPP Performance Information Has Been Released
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has added calendar year (CY) 2024 Quality Payment Program (QPP) performance information for clinicians, groups, virtual groups, subgroups, and Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) in the Provider Data Catalog (PDC) and on clinician and group profile pages in the Medicare.gov compare tool. CMS is required to report the final scores and performances of Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS)-eligible clinicians under each MIPS performance category, and both the names of Advanced Alternative Payment Models (APMs) and of eligible clinicians in Advanced APMs. Performance information for clinicians is displayed using measure-level star ratings, percent performance scores, and check marks.
Medicare patients and caregivers can use the Medicare.gov compare tool to search for and compare clinicians and groups enrolled in Medicare. Publicly reporting CY 2024 QPP performance information helps empower patients to select and access the right care from the right clinician.

First Snapshot of 2026 Qualifying APM Participant Status and APM Participation Data Now Available
On July 13, 2026, CMS updated its QPP Participation Status Tool based on the first snapshot of Alternative Payment Model (APM) data. The first snapshot includes data from Medicare Part B claims with dates of service between January 1, 2026, and March 31, 2026.
The tool includes 2026 Qualifying APM Participant (QP) status and MIPS APM participation status.

2026 MVPs Registration Open
The MVPs registration window is open for the 2026 performance year. Individuals, groups, subgroups, and APM Entities that want to report an MVP can register until November 30, 2026.

How to Register
Individuals, groups, subgroups, and APM Entities will register on the QPP website. You’ll need to have the Security Official role to register your organization. Please refer to the QPP Access User Guide (ZIP, 5MB) for information about obtaining a Security Official role for your organization.
How to Signal Your Intent to Report an MVP Via Medicare Part B Claims
If you’re reporting an MVP via Medicare Part B claims, you must signal your intent to report an MVP by submitting an MVP identifier that corresponds with the MVP being reported.
Refer to Appendix D of the 2026 Part B Claims Quality Reporting Quick Start Guide (PDF, 2MB) for an example of how to append an MVP identifier to a Medicare Part B claim and Appendix F for a list of MVP identifiers.

2025 MIPS Final Scores and Targeted Review Timeline
CMS anticipates publishing the MIPS final scores for the 2025 performance year in October. At that time, the Targeted Review period will open, allowing you to request a review if needed. MIPS payment adjustments for the 2027 payment year will be released approximately one month after the release of final scores. The Targeted Review period will close 30 days after the MIPS payment adjustments are released. You can continue to access your measure- and activity-level scores for data reported during the submission period. Performance period benchmarks are part of final scoring and will become available only once final scores are released. Once the 2025 final scores are published, we’ll announce their release through the QPP listserv.
In the meantime, we encourage you to confirm your MIPS eligibility and review the following scoring resources so that you’re prepared to understand your scores when they’re released.
To confirm your eligibility for a MIPS payment adjustment, enter your National Provider Identifier (NPI) in the QPP Participation Status tool (check “PY 2025”) or sign in to the QPP website and navigate to the Eligibility & Participation page on the left-hand navigation panel.
