ASH and Leading Cancer Community Partners Issue Consensus Statement on Drug Shortages

On May 13, ASH, in partnership with organizations across the cancer community, released a consensus statement identifying primary drivers of the drug shortage crisis in the United States. The statement outlines three priorities that require immediate action to address both the root causes and patient impact of drug shortages: increasing transparency across the drug supply chain; strengthening incentives for manufacturers to invest in high-quality, redundant supply systems; and stabilizing the generic drug market.
